Holistic Massage

Holistic massage differs from other massages as it is individual and unique to the person. There are no ‘routines’ as each massage focuses on what the person needs at that time. Typically, a treatment would include a variety of different techniques that include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, acupressure points, aromatherapy and lymphatic drainage; these techniques release tension in the body while stimulating the circulation and lymphatic system to eliminate waste toxins and boost the immune system. As massage works across all systems of the body it is hugely beneficial for helping people with muscular ailments as well the emotional and physical conditions resulting from stress and anxiety.

Hot stone massage

This is the most popular Winter massage. The ancient volcanic basalt stones is an ideal treatment for the body during the colder months. The most relaxing of all the massages offered, one hot stone massage stroke is said to be the equivalent of six 'normal' strokes. Ideal for tight muscles and tired bodies.

Pregnancy massage

During this life changing experience, the pregnancy massage is designed to make the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy a little easier. Tailored to your comfort, this treatment traditionally works the areas that are prone to aching and tiredness bringing peace and tranquility to both mother and baby. The treatment can take place, after the first trimester, over clothes in a seated position or lying vertically on the side with an aromatherapy pregnancy oil blend.

While this hugely popular massage is often incorporated into a holistic massage treatment, it is increasingly becoming a stand alone treatment in its own right. Focusing on acu-pressure points on the face and scalp and using a heavenly scented rose oil, the treatment is deeply relaxing and effective for relieving stress, migraine headaches, hormonal tension as well as sinus congestion.

Indian head massage

Before seeing Prue, I suffered greatly with agonising neck and shoulder pain. Since having my weekly massages I feel so much better on all levels; my neck and shoulders have vastly improved and I no longer need daily medication to cope with the pain. I leave my treatments feeling lighter, peaceful and incredibly relaxed.
