Red Tent Potters Bar

A Red Tent goes back to biblical times when women would experience their menstrual cycle at the new moon. As part of their culture, they would meet for three days during this time when all work would cease. This time allowed women to connect, share stories, hopes and dreams and develop a deep trust and support with each other.

The new moon has long been regarded as a potent time for renewal and cleansing. The beginning of a new lunar cycle is ideal for starting afresh and any commitments we make during this time are much stronger.

When I first read about Red Tents I immediately knew that I wanted to create one. I’ve believed for a long time that when women come together, magic happens. I really want to create space each month so that we can support and cherish each other, honouring the moon and looking at how it affect us physically, emotionally and spiritually.

What you can expect?

My main priority is that the Red Tent is a place of sacred connection. So while there is an outline for the evening, the content will be guided by our needs and wishes at the time.

Overall, you can expect to feel nurtured, nourished and supported at the Red Tent. I have a range of sacred rituals in mind that will help us get into our bodies and feel grounded.

Each Red Tent takes place on the Thursday evening closest to the new moon.
