Reflexology
Reflexology was first practiced by the ancient Chinese and Egyptians to promote the body‘s own healing ability. It is based on the principle that reflexes in the feet and hands correspond with organs, glands and structures within the body. By applying pressure to reflex points in the feet, it is possible to detect and clear blockages which enable the body to re–balance and energy to flow more freely.
Reflexology is very relaxing and great for releasing stress and tension. Its gentle and non invasive nature makes it particularly valuable for children, pregnant women and people recovering from illnesses, operations and fractures. It has also shown to be hugely effective in aiding with fertility.
As well as being an excellent form of preventative health care, reflexology can also help with the following conditions:
- Infertility
- Arthritis
- Migraine
- Insomnia and disturbed sleep
- PMT and hormonal imbalances
- Menopausal symptoms
- Digestive disorders including IBS and constipation
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Hay fever
- Respiratory problems
- Sinusitis
- Depression
